The AlzheimerΓÇÖs Association Walk to End AlzheimerΓÇÖsTM is the nationΓÇÖs largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support, and research. It brings together family, friends, caregivers and concerned community members ΓÇö who all want to make a difference.
Since 1989, the Walk has raised more than $250 million to help those battling Alzheimer’s disease.
In 2011, the Alzheimer’s Association raised over $42 million nationwide, with more than┬á$1,045,000┬ácontributed by the 15 walks held in Southeast Texas. More than┬á1,100 teams┬áand over┬á10,000 Texans┬ácame out to show support for the Alzheimer’s Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter last fall!
