50+ Klein HOSA students have volunteered for several years at the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Spring and The Woodlands!!
For more than 5 years, the Alzheimer’s Association of Houston and Southeast Texas can always count on the extraordinary HOSA Kats of Klein High School. HOSA is an organization for students interested in a health or medical fields. HOSA promotes service to the community, and volunteering is a big part of the club. A group of 50+ Klein HOSA students have volunteered for several years at the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Spring and The Woodlands!! The students show up before sunrise excited and ready to setup and remain through the end for clean up! They welcome walk participants with heartwarming smiles, pass out water bottles along the route, and enthusiastically cheer at the finish line! Ms. Kristen Haggard, the club sponsor, along with the club student leaders do a wonderful job organizing the students, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively!
Volunteers Move the Mission Forward!
At the Alzheimer’s Association, our volunteers move the mission forward and we could not have successful walk seasons without Klein HOSA! As a small token of our appreciation, we host a pizza party for the students at the conclusion of the season! We are excited to have them join us again this year!
