One Small Step Together: Early-Stage Alzheimer’s Program with Space Center Houston

A unique program for those recently diagnosed with early-stage memory loss, dementia, or Alzheimer’s

The Alzheimer’s Association and Space Center Houston have partnered together to put on a unique program for those recently diagnosed with early-stage memory loss, dementia, or Alzheimer’s.  Join us for a program specifically designed for people in the early-stages of memory loss, along with a care partner, family member, or friend.

Come aboard the Shuttle Orbiter Trainer Independence and rediscover your spirit of adventure at Space Center Houston!

Tour Independence Plaza and create a family mission patch like the astronauts. We will look to our future by retracing our past and the importance of a supportive team to achieve goals that are “out of this world!”

“Meeting other people going through this same thing is in incredibly important for those in the Early-Stages of Alzheimer’s. The friendships formed and the support offered are invaluable. We have groups that are still in contact years later.”

says Teri Miller the Early Stage Programs Manager at the Alzheimer’s Association Houston & Southeast Texas.
