Thank You to our Bay Area/Galveston Walk to End Alzheimer’s First Five Sponsors

We’re shouting out a great big THANK YOU to our Bay Area/Galveston Walk to End Alzheimer’s First Five Sponsors!

The Meridian, Orchard Park at Victory Lakes, McRee Ford, Oceanview Healthcare, and The Cottages at Clear Lake have joined the Alzheimer’s Association Galveston/Bay Area Walk to End Alzheimer’s as sponsors.  The dedication of these sponsors helps fuel the Association’s care, support and research initiatives and is crucial to increasing Alzheimer’s awareness in communities nationwide.

In the United States, more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, the sixth-leading cause of death in and the only disease among the top 10 causes that cannot be cured, prevented or even slowed. Additionally, more than 15 million family and friends provide care to people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease!

When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.
