Volunteer Spotlight: Klein High School

With 13 Walk to End Alzheimer??????s events scattered across our 37-county service area, the Alzheimer??????s Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter would be lost without the help of committed volunteers.

Today, we wanted to say thank you by highlighting a very special group of students from Klein High School.????? While most of their peers slept soundly after a long week of school, these dedicated students woke hours before sunrise to help set up tables, tents and walk route signs.

Giving up a pair of Saturdays, dozens of members of the Klein High chapter of HOSA provided more than 550 hours of service volunteering for the Northwest Houston and North Harris/Montgomery County Walks.????? In addition, a combined 70 of these students helped raise additional funds by participating in both Walks.

This year marked the sixth straight that students from Klein High have volunteered their Saturday mornings to lend a helping hand.????? Thank you all so much for your service.????? We really appreciate it.

The Alzheimer??????s Association currently is looking for volunteers for the?????Houston Walk to End Alzheimer??????s, which will be held Oct. 20 at Reliant Park.????? For more information on how to get involved, please visit?????alz.org/texas?????or?????click here.
